Her story

Makura graduated at the top of her high school class and knew she wanted more, she just was not sure how to get there. A month after graduation she moved to Texas to start over, took a full-time job, and tried to figure out what came next. The one thing she was sure of was that she wanted to work with people.

Then that October, everything stopped. A car accident on the drive home from work left her with a herniated disc, a severe concussion, and months of speech therapy. She stuttered. She forgot words.

She recovered, moved back home to Montrose, and went looking for what was next. Real estate had always been in the back of her mind. While working three jobs, she was introduced to a REALTOR® and took on a fourth role as their assistant. She studied for her license around a full-time and a part-time job, earned it in four months, and went all in.

That is where the “whatever it takes” comes from. She has done the hard version of starting over, so the hard parts of a real estate deal do not rattle her.
